Photographic Studio aimed at
beginners and
dedicated to Owl photography in East Yorkshire.
Come and join us in our dedicated Owl photography studio 25 minutes drive from the RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve in East Yorkshire. Perfect for those dreadful wet days when you don't want to be outside shooting, when you can be in comfort inside a warm building up close with our family of owls.
Our Birds are bare legged in the studio apart from a small ring which is sealed and this is easily removed in post. There is chance for some short flight and landing images with our high speed lights with our numerous perch set ups. We cater for beginner photographers or the more experienced shooter. Sessions are limited to a maximum of two photographers with no spectators in the studio. Sessions typically will be around 3 hours on a Saturday morning and afterwards you will be offered the chance to photograph one of the birds in their specially built housing with photography in mind. Subject to weather conditions on the day you may be offered the chance to take one of the owls for a walk in the local area where we can set up some poses for you.

Recommended lenses for our studio would be, in full frame equivalent 50mm , 28-70 and a 70=200. The 50mm is by far the most useful and most of our set ups are shot around F8. By all means if you require advice on what to bring just ask.
You are more than welcome to use one the Canon cameras and lenses we have. We run windows with photoshop and you are welcome to bring a plug in hardrive to back up your images or to see your progress as the session unfolds
